Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Laborer to support skilled trades on our construction project in Florida. The role involves preparing areas for concrete, assembling forms, handling materials, and assisting finishers with concrete processes.

This is a safety-sensitive, on-site position requiring physical endurance and timely attendance. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow safe work practices in a safety-sensitive construction environment.
• Must take initiative and ask questions when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Must be reliable and punctual with consistent attendance.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and stakeholders.
• Must provide own safety footwear and use of PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare areas for concrete placement, including excavation and grading.
• Assemble concrete forms and handle form panels.
• Move concrete by bucket from crane to placement area.
• Spread and level concrete after pouring.
• Strip forms and transport them to storage after curing.
• Assist finishers with moving power trowels and screeds.
