Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking laborers to support skilled crafts on our project sites. The role involves aiding concrete operations, form work, masonry, block and brick installation, and preparing work areas. You will move materials, assist finishers, and maintain site safety and housekeeping.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work safely with heavy equipment. We value initiative, reliability, and good communication with the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Follow safe work practices in accordance with safety program.
• Must be able to take initiative and ask questions.
• Possess keen attention to detail and be able to follow instructions.
• Workers must provide their own safety footwear.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• This includes having reliable transportation and consistent work attendance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare areas for placement of concrete with final excavation and grading.
• Assist in assembly of concrete forms and lifting form panels.
• Move concrete buckets from truck to placement area and spread concrete evenly.
• Strip forms after curing and transport them for storage.
• Assist finishers with power trowels and screeds to finish surfaces.
• Support masons with loading and transporting masonry materials.
• Assist carpenters with door frame handling and placement.
• Distribute materials and ensure site is organized and clean.
• Promote safety and help secure the jobsite at end of day.
