Job summary

Hensel Phelps seeks a construction laborer to support form carpenters, concrete operations and masonry tasks on our Fort Lauderdale project sites. You will perform site prep, material handling, and assist skilled trades while following safety protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and reliable attendance. OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred but not required. This is a safety-sensitive, on-site position with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare areas for concrete placement and final excavation, including grading for floor slabs.
• Assemble concrete forms and assist in moving form panels.
• Handle the concrete bucket from crane, pour, and muck concrete for slabs.
• Strip forms after concrete cures and transport them for storage.
• Assist concrete finishers with power trowels and screeds.
• Support block masons by transporting cement, lime, sand, and grout; stock blocks/bricks.
• Assist carpenters with door frames and transport them to work areas.
• Load/unload and distribute building materials and tools; keep site organized and safe.
• Promote a safe work environment and secure the jobsite at the end of each day.
