Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Laborer to provide support to skilled trades on our project sites in Idaho. The role involves preparing sites, assisting form carpenters, handling materials, and supporting concrete operations. This safety-sensitive position requires physical stamina and a reliable, punctual mindset.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and ability to follow safety policies. OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to drive may be required.
• Follow safety policies per Hensel Phelps program.
• Must take initiative and ask questions when needed.
• Demonstrate keen attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Provide own safety footwear and maintain safety on site.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work areas for concrete placement and finish floor slabs.
• Assist form carpenters, straighten and place prefabricated panels.
• Move materials and help transfer concrete from trucks via buckets.
• Strip forms after concrete cures and store forms properly.
• Assist finishers with power trowels and screeds for concrete surfaces.
• Support masons with handling bags of cement, lime, sand, and grout.
• Help carpenters move and position door frames on site.
• Load, unload, identify materials and keep the site organized and clean.
• Promote a safe work environment and help secure the site at day end.
