Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Laborer in Fort Lauderdale, FL to support skilled trades on a construction project. This safety-sensitive role requires physical work and a strong work ethic.

You will assist with form carpenters, concrete operations, and material handling, ensuring tasks meet project specs while maintaining a clean, safe site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must follow safety practices per company program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare areas for concrete placement, including final dirt grading.
• Assemble concrete forms and assist in placing form panels.
• Operate or assist with concrete bucket and mucking slabs.
• Strip cured forms and transport them to storage.
• Assist finishers with power trowels and screeds.
• Support masons by handling bags of cement, lime, sand, grout.
• Assist carpenters with door frames: transport and set.
• Load/unload materials and keep site organized and swept.
• Promote safety and secure the jobsite at day end.
