Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Community Manager to oversee all operations of a housing community on site, reporting to the Regional Manager.

You will supervise personnel, leasing, maintenance, and risk management, while ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing. The role emphasizes budgeting, marketing plans, resident relations, and timely reporting; strong leadership and on-site presence are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or four year's experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Personnel Management
• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff
• Ensure staff development through ongoing training, coaching, and guidance in compliance with Asset benchmarks
• Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts
• Monitor deposits, rent collections, and charges for timely submission
• Monitor vendor invoices and coding for timely payment
• Ensure property closeout and ownership financial reports are accurate
• Develop yearly marketing plans and leasing strategies
• Show, lease, and move in prospective residents
• Maintain property appearance and conduct regular inspections
• Lead emergency response and ensure safety and liability compliance
• Oversee on-site maintenance and rehabilitation activities
• Coordinate with vendors for bids and service quality
• Provide excellent customer service and address resident concerns
