Job summary

Atlantic Housing Foundation, Inc. seeks an experienced Community Manager to oversee multifamily properties, including HUD-assisted sites, ensuring policy adherence and high service standards.

You will supervise on-site staff, drive budgets and capital plans, conduct market research, and foster strong tenant relations while maintaining compliance with Fair Housing and other regulations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of on-site multifamily property management experience, with Tax Credit community exposure preferred.
• Leadership development program completion preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Professional designation (CPM, ARM, CAM, TCS, HCCP or equivalent) expected.
• Experience with affordable housing programs (income and rent restrictions, LURA, Tax Credit).
• Proficiency with Yardi or similar property management software preferred.
• Proven ability to recruit, retain, manage, direct, train, motivate and lead staff.
• 1+ year experience evaluating employee performance, coaching and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site staff to implement corporate policies and procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually and ad hoc) detailing cash flow, budget variances, market studies and business strategies.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and managing expenses to achieve goals.
• Review capital replacement plans with Regional Manager and corporate team.
• Maintain knowledge of local market and develop tailored marketing plans.
• Solicit bids and negotiate with vendors.
• Lead on-site team in customer service and tenant relations.
• Monitor monthly resident services activities and support the Foundation's mission.
• Oversee evictions and routine legal matters.
• Stay updated on federal/state Fair Housing, EEO, OSHA and ADA compliance.
• Assist in process improvements and revisions of policies and procedures.
• Review employee performance and make compensation recommendations.
