Job summary

Atlantic Housing Foundation, Inc. is seeking a Community Manager to oversee a multifamily property portfolio, including HUD properties, ensuring compliance and exceptional tenant service.

The role supervises on-site staff, manages budgets, reports on cash flow, occupancy, and program goals, and partners with regional and corporate teams on capital improvements and marketing. Candidates should have 3+ years on-site management experience, knowledge of affordable housing programs, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum three years on-site multifamily property management experience.
• Experience as Property Manager/Community Manager of Tax Credit community preferred.
• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Professional designation (CPM/ARM/CAM, etc.) preferred.
• Experience with affordable housing programs (income/rent restrictions, LURA, Tax Credit).
• Proficiency with Yardi or similar property management software.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Ability to recruit, retain, and coach staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site staff to implement policies and procedures.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports detailing cash flow and variances.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and managing expenses to meet goals.
• Review capital replacement plans and ensure alignment with budget.
• Maintain knowledge of local market and develop marketing plans.
• Solicit bids and negotiate with vendors.
• Lead tenant relations and deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor resident services and support the Foundation’s mission.
• Handle evictions and routine legal matters.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, EEO, OSHA, and ADA.
• Assist in process improvements and policy revisions.
• Conduct site inspections and review staff performance.
• Perform employee reviews and compensation recommendations.
• Cross-train staff for coverage.
