Job summary

Asset Living seeks a Community Manager to oversee a Cary, NC multifamily community. You will supervise on-site staff, manage leasing, marketing plans, and resident relations while ensuring financial performance and compliance with safety and fair housing guidelines.

You will develop annual operating budgets, monitor rent collections, and coordinate maintenance, emergencies, and vendor services to maintain property standards and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or four year's experience in the housing industry.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Personnel management and regular on-site attendance.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff.
• Monitor staff performance and coach as needed; document and escalate when necessary.
• Develop annual operating budgets and forecasts; monitor deposits and rent collections.
• Oversee leasing, marketing plans, and resident retention programs.
• Ensure property compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.
• Plan and supervise maintenance, inspections, and vendor coordination.
• Lead emergency response and ensure timely service requests.
• Maintain property appearance and coordinate make-ready and work orders.
