Job summary

Asset Living in Oxford, MS is seeking a Community Manager to oversee the operations of a housing community under the Regional Manager. You will lead on-site staff, manage leasing, maintenance, finance, administration and risk management.

As the on-site leader you will ensure compliance with Asset’s policies, fair housing guidelines and safety, while developing annual budgets, marketing plans, resident retention programs, and timely reporting. A CAM/ARM is preferred and a HS diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on‑site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Personnel management and on-site staff supervision.
• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff.
• Ensure staff training and compliance with Asset benchmarks.
• Develop and manage staff schedules and assignments.
• Address performance issues and coordinate with HR.
• Ensure policy compliance and safety guidelines.
• Financial management including budgets and revenue/leases.
• Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts.
• Monitor deposits, rent collections, and charges.
• Monitor vendor invoices and closeouts.
• Lead marketing and leasing strategies and reporting.
• Handle resident complaints and retention programs.
• Show, lease, and move-in residents.
• Oversee reporting and maintenance operations.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in housing industry
