Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Community Manager in California to oversee daily operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. You will supervise staff, manage leasing, maintenance, finances, and risk management in coordination with policies and fair housing guidelines.

The role emphasizes on-site leadership, staff training, budget development, resident relations, and emergency response.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Personnel Management
• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff
• Ongoing staff training, coaching, counseling, and guidance
• Prepare weekly/daily office & maintenance staff schedules
• Address performance issues and document appropriately
• Develop and implement resident retention programs
• Show, lease, and move in prospective residents
• Manage leasing reporting and budgets
• Lead emergency response for the property
• Monitor maintenance service requests and repairs
