Job summary

Greystar is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee financial operations, rent collection, and reporting for a residential community. The role uses Yardi/OneSite/Entrata to record, track, and report financial activity and to ensure lease compliance and timely payments.

The position supports the Community Manager, assists in coordinating maintenance, overseeing move-outs, and promoting resident satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in residence life and/or property management.
• Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collects and posts rent, fees, and other payments and prepares daily bank deposits.
• Operates property management software and verifies data in system.
• Reviews resident files to determine unpaid or late fees and pursues delinquencies.
• Reviews and submits vendor invoices for payment and coordinates with owner/manager.
• Handles evictions per policy and represents the community in court when required.
• Processes move-outs and applies deposits and fees per terms.
• Responds to resident questions to promote satisfaction and retention.
• Acts as on-site supervisor in absence of the community manager and coordinates maintenance.
