Job summary

Accounting Search partners with CNC machine tool builder to fill a CNC Field Service Engineer role. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC systems at customer sites nationwide while traveling 100%.

Ideal candidates have strong electrical and mechanical skills, experience with FANUC controls and PLC programming, and a customer-first mindset. Role reports to the Field Service Manager and requires independent field work across the Eastern US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in CNC machine tool maintenance and service (electrical and mechanical).
• Experience installing/servicing machining centers with leveling and alignment.
• Strong PLC programming and FANUC control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install CNC machine tool systems at customer sites, including options.
• Perform leveling, geometry checks, and final adjustments.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application issues.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support via phone, email, and other channels.
• Travel extensively (100%) with overnights and occasional weekends.
• Maintain service documentation and reporting.
• Provide customer training and assist with project coordination.
• Support customers, distributors, and internal teams with technical guidance and problem resolution.
• Attend trade shows and events when required.
• Perform other duties as needed.
