Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions partners with a leading CNC machine tool builder to recruit a Field Service Engineer who installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains CNC systems at customer sites across the country. The role demands strong electrical and mechanical skills, PLC knowledge, and a customer-first approach.

Expect 100% travel on weekdays, with preference for candidates near airports in IL, TN, KY, OH.

Qualifications

5+ years in CNC machine tool maintenance and service (electrical and mechanical).
5+ years of remote technical support in machine tool industry.
Proven experience installing/servicing machining centers, including leveling and alignment.
Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting knowledge.
Willingness to travel 100% (weekdays), work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

Install CNC machine tool systems at customer sites, including options and accessories.
Perform machine leveling, geometry checks, and final adjustments.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application issues.
Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions or replacements.
Provide on-site and remote technical support via phone, email, and other channels.
Support customers, distributors, and internal teams with technical guidance and problem resolution.
Provide customer training and assist with project coordination as needed.
Support service at trade shows and company events as required.
Maintain detailed service documentation and reporting.
Travel extensively (100%) including overnights and weekends.
