Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Nashville, TN is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. You will supervise preventive and reactive maintenance, use CMMS to track work orders, monitor BAS, and mentor the engineering team while ensuring safety and high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with technical training or related degree.
• Universal EPA/CFC certification required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial building engineering (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• Experience with CMMS, BAS, and maintenance software systems.
• Ability to respond on-site for emergency service calls within 45 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and system malfunctions to maintain uninterrupted facility operations.
• Utilize the CMMS to manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and service documentation.
• Lead, mentor, and support engineering team members while promoting a safe and professional work environment.
• Monitor BAS, respond to alarms, and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Ensure OSHA regulations and JLL safety policies are followed and provide responsive customer service to tenants and clients.
