Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Memphis, TN is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the operation and reliability of critical building systems, ensuring a safe and productive workplace for clients and staff. You will guide an engineering team, drive proactive maintenance programs, and support capital planning to protect asset value and continuity.

You will oversee a range of systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety, while ensuring regulatory compliance and high service

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of facility operations or engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and critical environment operations.
• Experience developing and executing preventive and corrective maintenance programs in commercial/industrial facilities.
• Proficiency with CMMS software (Corrigo or similar).
• Ability to read manuals, specs, blueprints, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and operation of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, lighting).
• Lead engineering staff in daily operations, emphasizing safety and service quality.
• Develop preventive and reliability-centered maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate contractor activities and vendor services; support capital improvement planning.
