Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Senior Operating Engineer to support the reliable operation, maintenance, and optimization of facilities for our Tennessee client. This on-site role will require hands-on work with HVAC systems and building automation to ensure safe, efficient operations at a large commercial facility in Nashville, TN.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate with contractors while upholding safety standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license maintained throughout employment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building engineering or facilities maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems and building automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on HVAC, pumps, motors, and air handlers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and BAS issues.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders and document activities.
• Monitor building operations to improve energy efficiency and reliability.
• Coordinate with teams, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
• Complete general building maintenance tasks including basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance.
