Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Nashville, TN is seeking a Building Engineer to serve as the technical backbone of facility operations across commercial properties. You’ll maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems to ensure safe, efficient environments for clients and tenants.

The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, BAS monitoring, work-order management in CMMS, and timely repairs, with on-call rotation and strong focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee driver’s license and ability to arrive on site within 45 minutes for emergencies.
• 4–6 years of technical experience in commercial building engineering.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and controls.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems including chillers, compressors, cooling towers, and building automation systems.
• Monitor BAS systems and respond to alarms; conduct facility rounds to identify issues.
• Manage work orders through the CMMS platform to ensure timely completion.
• Perform repairs ranging from plumbing fixtures and electrical components to ceilings and drywall; document activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and coordinate with vendors; participate in on-call rotation.
