Job summary

Lincoln Property Company seeks a Lead Building Engineer to oversee daily operations and maintenance of complex building systems. The role supervises engineers and contractors, coordinates preventive maintenance, and drives safety compliance to NFPA/OSHA standards.

The ideal candidate will have BAS/HVAC expertise, experience with CMMS and energy management software, and strong communication with tenants, vendors, and leadership. This is a 100% in-office, on-site role based in McLean, VA.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma or GED; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with tenants/vendors.
• Knowledge of BAS, HVAC, electrical controls; familiarity with CMMS/energy software.
• Proficient with MS Office; able to read blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of building systems.
• Supervise engineering staff and contractors; set performance goals.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC; manage safety training.
