Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering team, overseeing building maintenance and operations to ensure tenant satisfaction, safety, and efficiency.

The role requires extensive experience, supervisory capabilities, and deep knowledge of HVAC, energy management, and safety standards. 100% in-office with strong collaboration across tenants, vendors, and leadership.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of industry experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• At least 5 years of supervisory, training, and mentoring experience.
• CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of energy management, CMMS, and building operating platforms.
• Ability to travel daily to assigned properties.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, BAS, fire protection, life safety.
• Contract administration and project management skills.
• Able to read/write English to understand manuals and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of building maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Monitor building energy usage and ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee contractor work and manage tenant improvement projects.
• Prepare budgets; control inventory and purchasing.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate Engineering staff; develop performance goals and staff development plans.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers to ensure reliable building operations and address tenant issues.
• Oversee safety compliance, OSHA, NEC, NFC, NFPA; manage lockout/tagout and safety inspections.
