Job summary

Encore Columbus is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring guest satisfaction. You will report to an Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology and coordinate with hotel staff and outside vendors.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and preferred AV experience. Training/certifications must be completed within 60 days for external hires and done via Encore’s programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• External applicants must meet training/certifications within 60 days.
• Internal applicants must meet Encore training requirements.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for operating company vehicles.
• Additional DOT requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown basic AV equipment as listed in qualifications.
• Exceed customer expectations and maintain client relationships on-site.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues promptly and professionally.
• Complete system entry and paperwork accurately; assist with invoicing.
