Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an Associate Project Manager (APM) in Illinois to support Project Managers on construction initiatives. This developmental role focuses on planning, execution, and learning to progress toward leadership within the team.

You will collaborate with Owners, field staff, preconstruction, procurement, scheduling, and safety while gaining hands-on experience in procurement management, submittals, RFIs, permits, and project closeout. 100% site-based with home rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field and 2–4 years in construction mgmt.
• Experience coordinating with owners, field teams, and suppliers.
• Proficiency with Viewpoint, Procore, MS Project, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager on large projects including procurement, subcontract management, scheduling, RFIs, and closeout.
• Support safety, quality, and effective communication across the project lifecycle.
• Represent the company with clients and subcontractors to address scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with Construction Managers to gain field experience and manage schedules and on-site problems.
• Provide timely updates on status, resources, budgets, and forecasts to leadership and stakeholders.
• Under supervision, manage small-scale projects or components of larger projects.
