Job summary

CoVolt Power in Michigan is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support the Project Manager and project team, ensuring successful construction project completion. This developmental role involves procurement, scheduling, safety, quality, and client communication, with on-site work and periodic home rotations as needed.

You will collaborate with owners, subcontractors, and field staff, provide timely updates, and prepare you for leadership responsibilities as you grow toward a Project Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil/ mechanical/ electrical engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in construction management or general contracting.
• OSHA 10 Hour Certification.
• First Aid/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager on large, complex projects by managing procurement, subcontract management, scheduling, submittals, RFIs, permitting, and project closeout.
• Partner with the Project Manager to prioritize safety, quality, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Represent the company with clients, subcontractors, and partners to address scope, schedule, and budget issues.
• Collaborate with Construction Managers to gain field experience, including managing schedules, subcontractors, safety, quality, commissioning, and on-site problem-solving.
• Provide timely updates on project status, resources, budgets, and forecasts to leadership, customers, and stakeholders.
• Under supervision, manage small-scale projects or components of larger projects, preparing for full Project Manager responsibilities.
