Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a trained 3D scanning technician to operate handheld Artec Leo scanners on concrete and industrial projects, capture data on site, process in Artec Studio, and deliver meshes, point clouds, and scan-to-CAD files.

Travel to regional hubs as assigned; must be comfortable on active job sites and able to carry equipment. Pay ranges with hourly cadence and proper certifications a plus.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience operating handheld scanners on real projects.
Working knowledge of Artec Studio for mesh processing and export.
Ability to read structural/fabrication drawings in CAD tools.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute handheld scans for concrete placement and structures.
Control drift with reference features and overlap zones.
Verify capture on-site before leaving.
Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, cleanup, export.
Produce deviation maps, reports, and anchor bolt coordinates.
Create scan-to-CAD solids for reverse engineering.
Document capture procedures and chain of custody.
Coordinate access, permits, and safety on sites.
Travel to regional hubs as assigned.
