Construction Material Testing is seeking a trained-operator to run handheld 3D scanners on diverse site projects, from rebar mats and anchor bolts to corrosion and machine parts. You capture data on site, verify it, and deliver meshes, point clouds, and scan-to-CAD products.

You will plan scans, control drift, process data in Artec Studio, and prepare reports and CAD exports. Travel to regional hubs is required, and we sponsor certifications such as ACI and ICC to advance the role.

Qualifications

• Experience operating handheld scanners on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio for mesh cleanup and export.
• Ability to read structural/fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and outdoors.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable record.
• Willingness to travel to regional hubs.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar and embeds before concrete placement.
• Control drift on large objects with reference features and overlapping zones.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, cleanup, texture, export.
• Produce deviation maps, measurement reports, and anchor bolt reports.
• Build scan-to-CAD solids for reverse engineering and fit-up checks.
• Document capture procedures and chain of custody on forensic matters.
• Coordinate access, permits, and safety with superintendents and plant contacts.
• Travel to regional hubs as assigned.
