Construction Material Testing is seeking a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners on diverse projects, from rebar mats to worn machine parts. You’ll capture data, verify it on site, and deliver meshes and scan-to-CAD data for client use.

You will process scans in Artec Studio, generate deviation maps and coordinate reports, and coordinate access and safety with site contacts. Travel to regional hubs is expected.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience operating handheld scanners (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider; others) on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio or comparable scan-processing software; meshing and registration.
• Familiarity with CAD and reading structural/fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites; able to carry equipment and work outdoors.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; willing to travel and fly as needed.
• Experience with scan-to-CAD and metrology reporting a plus; certifications a bonus.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar, embeds, corrosion, and structural elements.
• Control drift on large objects using reference features and overlapping zones.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving the job.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture, export formats.
• Produce deviation maps, reports, and coordinate data against drawings or CAD.
• Create scan-to-CAD solids for reverse engineering and fit-up checks.
• Document capture procedures and equipment logs; maintain chain of custody.
• Coordinate access, permits, and safety with site contacts; travel as assigned.
