Construction Material Testing is seeking a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners and deliver scan data for construction projects. You will process data in Artec Studio, generate CAD-ready files, and provide measurement reports.

You must be able to work on active sites, travel as needed, and maintain rigorous documentation for forensic applications. This is an hourly, field-driven role with growth into regional scanning and project management.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience operating handheld scanners (Artec Leo, Eva, or Space Spider) on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio for mesh cleanup, registration, and export.
• Familiarity with CAD and reading structural or fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and in industrial plants; able to carry equipment.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable record; able to travel.
• Experience with scan-to-CAD and metrology reporting is a plus.
• ACIC/ICC certifications a plus — sponsorship available by us.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar embeds before concrete placement and on damaged structures.
• Control drift on large objects with reference features and overlapping zones.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture, and export formats.
• Produce deviation color maps, measurement reports, crack maps, and anchor bolt reports.
• Build scan-to-CAD solids (STEP/IGES) for reverse engineering and fit-up checks.
• Document capture procedure, equipment settings, and chain of custody on forensic matters.
• Keep scanner, batteries, and calibration records in order; coordinate access and safety.
