Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to lead merchandising, pricing, and athlete experience across the sales floor. You will coach teammates, manage priorities, and deliver a consistent, athlete-first shopping experience.

This role emphasizes coaching, scheduling, and operational leadership in a fast-paced retail environment. You will oversee store operations with a focus on strong team performance, safety, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by informing customers about products and ensuring correct merchandising.
• Help develop 30-60-90 day plans for department priorities and establish operational and merchandising plans within budget.
• Create effective schedules and workload plans to meet athlete traffic while maintaining payroll and efficiency.
• Build and lead a strong team through sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures and hold teammates accountable.
