Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to lead the sales floor with a focus on merchandising, pricing, and an exceptional athlete experience.

You will coach teammates, manage priorities, and deliver a consistent, athlete-first shopping experience while building a strong, collaborative team across shifts.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years retail or customer-facing experience, and prior people leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by informing customers about products and following merchandising standards.
• Help develop 30-60-90 day plans for department priorities and execute plans within budgets.
• Lead store operations including opening/closing, Front End and Cash Office functions, and supervising teammates.
• Coordinate scheduling to meet athlete traffic while achieving payroll and financial goals.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop teammates and enforce policies and safety procedures.
