About On Demand

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM with a flexible schedule, based on store needs and shift availability. This role allows you to create your own schedule by picking up shifts via our myTime mobile app. Regular engagement is required, including responding to contact attempts and working at least one shift every 4 months (or 5 months starting December 2024) to maintain employment.

Upon being offered the position, attendance at a Target Welcome orientation and participation in a short-term training schedule are mandatory.

Service & Engagement

Guest Advocates focus on delivering exceptional service, welcoming guests, and exceeding expectations through knowledgeable assistance and efficient service at checkouts, guest services, gift registry, and fulfillment areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a service culture prioritizing guest experience
• Greet guests authentically and assist based on body language and verbal cues
• Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to resolve guest issues
• Scan, bag, and manage transactions accurately and efficiently
• Promote Target loyalty programs and fulfillment services
• Support order pickup, drive-up, and returns with accuracy and friendliness
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow safety policies and support cash office operations

Qualifications

Ideal candidates enjoy working in a lively environment, engaging with guests, and collaborating with team members. Skills include effective communication, focus, attention to detail, and adaptability. Previous experience is not required as training will be provided.

Physical & Schedule Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 44 pounds occasionally and work in varying temperatures and environments
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Active engagement in shift pickup and response to contact attempts is essential
