ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule but can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted via our myTime mobile scheduling app. You are expected to actively engage by picking up and working shifts and responding to our contact attempts.

Regular attendance is necessary. You must respond to contact attempts and work at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Effective December 2024, this period will be reduced to 5 months. You must work at least one shift within 6 months (or 5 months from December 2024) or face administrative termination.

Your communication and ability to work when needed are critical to success in this role. You will attend a Target Welcome orientation and participate in a short-term training schedule. Afterwards, you can use the myTime app to pick shifts.

Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest expectations through interaction and recovery. They are knowledgeable about store capabilities and features, driving adoption and loyalty. They make shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up.

Typical Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent guest service and greeting all guests
• Observing guest cues to offer assistance
• Engaging with guests to understand their needs
• Being knowledgeable about products, services, and tools
• Handling transactions accurately and efficiently
• Minimizing wait times while maintaining service quality
• Promoting Target Loyalty programs and fulfillment services
• Assisting with returns and de-escalating negative situations
• Supporting order pick-up, drive-up, and registry services
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Supporting cash office processes as needed
• Performing other duties based on business needs
