Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) month of experience in institutional or large-scale food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Assists with inventorying food supplies and maintaining lists of items to be purchased.
• Sets up serving lines and assists in the service of prepared meals.
• Prepares and cooks food items according to established menus, including accommodations for special dietary needs.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
• Assists with inspecting work areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Prepares and mixes liquid food formulas as prescribed by physicians or dietitians.
• Assumes responsibility for the efficient operation of the dietary section during off-shift hours and in the absence of the supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
