Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking an adaptable kitchen staff member for on-demand shifts. You will assist with set-up, food preparation, and maintaining proper temperatures, while presenting foods to customers.

The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness and teamwork in a fast-paced cafeteria environment, with training on recipes and standard portions. Candidates with a High School Diploma or GED are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines daily and ensure all food is held at required temperatures.
• Assist in the preparation of foods according to menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan and prep for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO inventory practices.
• Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas including equipment and dishes; restock items as needed.
• Monitor chemical usage and maintain dishwashing area equipment; remove clean dishes from machines.
