Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking dependable kitchen staff to support daily serving and food preparation in school cafeterias. You will help set up lines, maintain temperatures, and assist with batch cooking and dishwashing.

This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety and HACCP guidelines, with opportunities to learn Opaa! recipes and standards, and to contribute to a clean, welcoming dining experience for students.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines daily and ensure food is held at the correct temperatures.
• Assist in preparation of foods according to menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO inventory.
