Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. seeks on-call kitchen staff to support serving lines, food prep, and production across multiple sites. You will follow recipes, maintain proper temperatures, and assist with daily setup and cleaning. Ability to operate kitchen equipment and handle food safely is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines daily and ensure food is held at required temperature; milk coolers stocked.
• Prepare foods per menu and Opaa! recipes; plan and prep ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO stock and clean storage.
• Maintain dishwashing area equipment; monitor chemical usage and temperatures.
• Requisition food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager; present baked goods appealingly.
• Batch cook to maintain quality and presentation; set up serving lines with proper portions.
• Handle customer monies with POS or cash register; complete daily paperwork.
• Adhere to HHFKA/CACFP regulations and Opaa! safety procedures.
