Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking on-call kitchen staff to assist with daily meal preparation, serving, and clean-up in a fast-paced dining environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining food temperatures, operating common kitchen equipment, and keeping work areas organized. The role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety protocols; occasional cash handling may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or related experience.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Must be able to stand, lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and keep temperatures correct.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; prep ahead for next day.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized.
• Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas and return items to storage.
• Maintain FIFO inventory and keep cooler/storage clean.
• Requisition food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager.
• Batch bake goods and present them attractively to customers.
• Set up serving lines and ensure proper serving sizes and hospitality.
• Handle customer monies and operate the POS when required.
• Submit hours worked by clocking in via ADP or time sheets.
• Attend required meetings and training hours per HHFKA.
