On-Call Community Maintenance Technician

Job summary

Camden Property Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle service requests across our community. You will be a customer-focused team player who supports make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance and preventative tasks to ensure exceptional resident experiences.

You will respond quickly to requests, coordinate with the supervisor, and perform routine repairs and safety checks while maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• High School Diploma preferred; certification from an accredited trade school highly desired
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems in a community setting

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner
• Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors
• Identify safety or maintenance issues and report or correct them
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete repairs
• Keep community appearance up by maintaining fixtures and cleaning
• Record service data in Onesite for requests and make-ready
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, notices, inspections
