Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle service requests, preventative maintenance, and make-readies across a residential community. You will work with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and ensure excellent resident service.

The role involves electrical, plumbing, HVAC troubleshooting and basic repairs, with some groundskeeping and pool maintenance. A valid driver’s license and on-call availability are required.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• High School Diploma preferred; certification from an accredited trade school highly desired.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills as it relates to apartment maintenance.
• Handle tile work, carpentry repairs and all facets of the make ready process.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and all other systems at the community.
• Possess dependable transportation and be able to work on a rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and vendors.
• Identify safety issues and report or correct them promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and finalize repairs.
• Maintain community appearance by lighting upkeep, trash removal, and painting.
• Document service requests and make-readies in Onesite.
