Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle service requests at our apartment community. You will perform make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and preventative maintenance while delivering exceptional resident service.

Responsibilities include prioritizing tasks with the maintenance team, performing HVAC/plumbing/electrical work, and preparing vacants for move-in. Flexibility for weekends/holidays and on-call duties is required.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• High School Diploma preferred; certification from an accredited trade school highly desired.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills as it relates to apartment maintenance.
• Handle tile work, carpentry repairs and all facets of the make ready process.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and all other systems at the community.
• Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule, valid driver’s license required for Low Speed Vehicle communities.
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards or maintenance needs and address or report them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment within the community.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including repairs or replacements as needed.
• Ensure community appearance through light maintenance tasks such as painting, lighting, and trash removal.
• Record service and maintenance activities in Onesite accurately.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, notices, inspections, and other tasks.
