Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Biometric Technician in Baltimore, MD for an on-call casual role supporting USCIS ASC operations. You will perform biometric processing, door screening, and frontline customer service as part of a dynamic team.

Availability five days a week during 7:45am–4:15pm is required when on call. Responsibilities include processing fingerprints and photos, maintaining visitor logs, and coordinating with the Site Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization; US citizenship required for credentials at this location.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright on one’s feet for scheduled shift duration.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands to obtain fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of biometrics training and certification within sixty days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Ensure entrants are approved applicants/visitors and assist with crowd control and policy enforcement.
• Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and the U.S. Government.
• Perform quality biometrics processing including fingerprints, photographs, and signatures within processing times.
• Screen applicants for valid appointment notices and identification for entry.
• Utilize barriers to ensure safe, organized entry.
• Inspect applicants and belongings; respond to health/safety status as required.
• Conduct periodic facility checks and report concerns to the Site Supervisor.
• Assist Site Supervisor or Immigration Officer with calling local authorities when necessary.
• Manage administrative tasks: tracking processing times, reconciliation of biometrics, logging visitors, and other duties.
