Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking an on-call Banquet Server to assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces and to serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous, professional manner. The role requires careful adherence to high hotel standards and safety guidelines across shifts that vary in start times and days.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, restocking stations, clearing and resetting banquet rooms, and supporting other banquet staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic English to understand inquiries and communicate simple instructions.
• Ability to follow written labeling instructions for safe product use.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment such as a coffee maker.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set up and breakdown of banquet space per Banquet Captain's instructions.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve food and/or beverages in order and to standard.
• Bus dishes and replenish beverages as guests finish courses.
• Reset banquet rooms for subsequent functions according to supervisor specs.
• Perform side work and maintain health standards; follow safety procedures.
• Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance; assist other banquet staff when needed.
