Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to assist with event setup and breakdown, and to serve food and beverages to guests according to the hotel’s quality standards.

The role involves standing/walking for extended periods, following safety rules, and adhering to all policies. The team emphasizes proactive service and attention to detail in a fast-paced banquet environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic English to understand inquiries and communicate simple instructions.
• Ability to comprehend and apply product labeling instructions for safe application.
• Ability to remember and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.

Responsibilities

• Gather supplies and set up banquet room as described in the Banquet Event Order and as instructed by Banquet Captain.
• Attend stand up meetings before events to learn function particulars and guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Banquet Captain.
• Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check guest satisfaction.
• Clear and reset banquet rooms after function for next event.
