Job summary

Latham & Watkins LLP is seeking an OGC Analyst – Conflicts, Laterals to join the Office of the General Counsel. The role focuses on analyzing conflicts reports for incoming lateral candidates across multiple offices, ensuring accurate conflicts checks per questionnaire data, with potential hybrid work arrangements.

Based in Los Angeles or other major offices, this role requires strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with conflicts processes in a law firm environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a law firm or other professional services firm.
• Experience with Intapp Open software, preferably.

Responsibilities

• Administer conflicts review for all lateral attorney candidates, including assisting with conflicts questionnaire completion.
• Obtain guidance from attorneys or conflicts staff to evaluate lateral conflicts checks across jurisdictions.
• Analyze conflicts reports to determine matters requiring additional review or Ethics Committee action.
• Prepare a summary of information from conflicts report analysis and follow-up responses; report conflicts resolution to sponsoring attorneys and recruiting departments.
• Work with OGC leadership to triage work and ensure efficient processing.
• Protect and maintain confidential, privileged, and sensitive information.
