Job summary

Total Safety is seeking an H2S Technician to operate and maintain gas detection systems and breathing air equipment on land or offshore rigs, ensuring compliance with safety policies.

The role requires 3–6 months in H2S/upstream, OSHA/State training, and ability to perform inspections in varied conditions. You will document tasks meticulously and support cross-training within the team.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months’ H2S and/or Upstream experience.
• State and OSHA regulations training.
• Trained to complete site inspections using SMART Inspections program.
• Exposure to cold, heat, wet/damp conditions and vibration.
• Customer environment experience and safety compliance focus.
• Potential exposure to high pressure, chemicals and traffic.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rigging gas detection systems.
• Operate and maintain gas detection systems and breathing air equipment.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly checks on equipment.
• Fit testing of customer personnel.
• Inspect and service cooling and shower trailers.
• Follow all TS and Customer policies and procedures.
• Complete all Total Safety and customer documentation accurately.
