Job summary

Total Safety U.S., Inc. is seeking an H2S Technician to operate and maintain gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment on drilling rigs or production platforms with potential hazards. You will help calibrate, test, inspect, and document safety equipment and perform daily checks.

The role requires adherence to TS and client policies and a safety-first mindset. Applicants should have 3–6 months H2S/upstream experience, completed H2S Academy training, and OSHA regulations knowledge;

Qualifications

  • 3–6 months H2S and/or Upstream experience.
  • Complete H2S Academy Training including H2S Training, SAFE GULF or SAFE LAND.
  • First aid responder training preferred.
  • State and OSHA regulations training.
  • Customer Service skills training.
  • Trained to complete site inspections using SMART Inspections program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Rigging Gas Detection Systems.
  • Assist in operation and maintenance gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment.
  • Calibrates gas detection.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly checks on equipment.
  • Fit testing of customer’s personnel.
  • Inspect and service cooling & shower trailers.
  • Follow TS & Customer policies and procedures.
  • Complete all Total Safety and Customer documentation on tasks, inspections, repairs, time sheets.
