Job summary

Total Safety in Louisiana seeks a H2S Tech to join its safety-focused team on land or offshore rigs. You will operate and maintain gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment while following all safety policies.

The role requires 3–6 months H2S/upstream experience and completion of H2S Academy Training; first aid and OSHA training are preferred. You will perform inspections, calibrations, and routine maintenance, supporting field operations and client sites.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months' H2S and/or Upstream experience.
• Completion of H2S Academy Training (H2S, SAFE GULF or SAFE LAND).
• First aid responder training preferred.
• State and OSHA regulations training.
• Customer service training.
• Training to perform site inspections using SMART Inspections program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rigging Gas Detection Systems.
• Operate and maintain gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment.
• Calibrates gas detection.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checks on equipment.
• Site inspections using SMART Inspections program.
• Follow all Total Safety & Customer policies and procedures.
