Job summary

Total Safety U.S., Inc. is seeking a H2S Tech to join our safety-focused team in Shreveport, LA. The H2S Tech will operate and maintain gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment on land or offshore drilling rigs or platforms with potential releases.

Responsibilities include rigging gas detection systems, performing regular checks, completing documentation, and ensuring equipment readiness and safety compliance. The role requires adherence to TS and customer policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining gas detection systems and breathing air safety gear on land or offshore drilling rigs or platforms.
• Ability to perform regular checks and align with safety policies and procedures.
• Capable of completing inspection and repair documents accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rigging gas detection systems.
• Assist in operation and maintenance of gas detection and breathing air equipment.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checks on equipment.
• Fit testing of customer personnel.
• Inspect and service trailers and related gear.
• Follow Total Safety policies and customer procedures.
• Document tasks, job costs, expenses and time sheets.
• Ensure SCBA and air compressors are functional and charged.
