Job summary

Total Safety is seeking a dedicated H2S Technician to join a safety‑driven team on land or offshore drilling rigs and platforms. The role focuses on operating and maintaining gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment, ensuring readiness and compliance in potentially hazardous environments.

Qualified candidates typically have 3–6 months of H2S experience and H2S Academy training, with preferred first aid and OSHA training.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months’ H2S and/or Upstream experience.
• Complete H2S Academy Training including H2S Training, SAFE GULF or SAFE LAND.
• First aid responder training preferred.
• State and OSHA regulations training.
• Customer Service skills training.
• Trained to complete site inspections using SMART Inspections program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rigging and operating gas detection systems.
• Calibrates gas detection equipment and performs checks.
• Inspects and services safety equipment in field environments.
• Ensures compliance with Total Safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains inventory and documentation for tasks performed.
• Supports team with safety and maintenance tasks as needed.
