Job summary

Total Safety is seeking an H2S Technician to operate and maintain gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment on land or offshore drilling rigs. You will perform routine inspections, fit testing, and ensure all documentation is accurate and timely.

Requirements include 3–6 months of H2S/upstream experience, H2S Academy training, and OSHA/regs familiarity, with a High School diploma or GED. Equal opportunity employer and safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months' H2S and/or Upstream experience.
• Complete H2S Academy Training (H2S Training, SAFE GULF or SAFE LAND).
• State and OSHA regulations training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rigging and operating gas detection systems.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly checks on equipment.
• Complete fit testing of customers' personnel.
• Inspect and service safety equipment and trailers.
• Maintain inventory and documentation of tasks and time sheets.
• Ensure safety systems are operational and properly maintained.
