Job summary

Ascension Premier Staffing - Occupational Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient assessments and treatment across multiple Ascension acute care hospitals. The role requires applying therapy plans, documenting progress and adjusting care while coordinating discharge planning and caregiver education.

Local and national travel may be required; a Bachelor's degree is mandatory with a Master's preferred, and an OTR license is required. BLS within 30 days of hire is essential.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR)
• Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial deficits.
• Evaluate independent living skills to design safe, effective plans of care, including treatment type and frequency.
• Execute treatment plans using appropriate modalities, document progress, and modify care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on deficits, assist with discharge planning, and provide guidance on adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Oversee certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to regulations and practice standards.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration
